Next to reputational risk, loss of highly confidential card data results in massive financial implications as several prominent cases have shown, e.g. TJX Companies. To secure the card business the leading payment card organisations founded the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).
As a pioneer in security related topics DeuCS has been a member of the council right from the start. The council established the PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) applicable to all parties involved in the card payment process. Although PCI DSS became obligatory not until September 2007, the DeuCS platform is PCI certified since 2004. Constituting the only European acquiring platform certified for 5 years in a row.
The latest annual PCI audit was completed in the last quarter 2009. Security scans are carried out on a quarterly basis. Assessor for Deutsche Card Services is SRC Security Research & Consulting. Please refer to the PCI certificate and scan certificate for more information.
