- Chargeback ratio in e-retailing declined again from a record low in the preceding year.
- E-retailers suffer less from the effects by the financial and economic crisis and from fraud attempts than other e-commerce sectors. Only seven in 10 000 transactions fail.
- Using the 3-D Secure technology helps to push down the overall chargeback ratio further.
- E-retailing is suffering less from fraud attempts, which benefits both online merchants and consumers.

- E-retail merchants can also rely on people from Lower Saxony to pay their debts.
- The chargeback ratio does not rise above 0.19% in any German region.
